The Opportunity

Our client is one of Australia’s most recognisable and engaging businesses within the sporting and entertainment industry. They pride themselves on creating an extremely fun, sociable office environment while also continuing to grow year on year. This is a crucial leadership role where you drive process & system improvements while leading a high performing team.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Head of Payroll and communicating with a wide range of management and staff on a daily basis, your key responsibilities include the following:

• Managing a fortnightly payroll for approximately 1,000 employees
• Managing, training and supporting a small team
• Supporting management with process improvement initiatives
• Calculating and maintaining leave balances
• Completing legislative requirements including PAYG, Superannuation and WorkCover
• Interpreting and applying awards and contracts
• Preparing detailed payroll records, reports and documents for Finance and Operations
• Completing end of month/year processes and audit requirements

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• 5+ years of payroll management experience leading a small-medium sized team
• Processing pay runs larger than 1,000+ staff
• Experience in a retail organisation is highly advantageous 
• Excellent communication skills at all levels in the business
• Full Australian working rights
