The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional looking to join a purpose-driven organisation, or a Junior Payroll Officer looking to take on more responsibility.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for over 400+ full-time, part-time, and casual staff. You’ll also assist with month-end and year-end reporting, working closely with their tight-knit finance team and broader stakeholder group.
The successful candidate will be given a high level of flexibility and autonomy, and the opportunity to take real ownership of the role.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day payroll for all Australian sites. Your duties will include the following:
- End-to-end preparation and processing of payroll for 400+ staff
- Managing onboarding and offboarding, including new starters and terminations
- Maintaining and updating leave balances and entitlements
- Responding to a range of payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner
- Processing superannuation and payroll tax
- Completing WGEA reporting requirements
- Assisting management with continuous improvement and payroll process enhancements
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a payroll-focused role
- Exposure to high-volume payroll environments, ideally with 300+ employees
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with larger payroll systems such as iChris, SAP, ADP, or similar
