The Opportunity
Our client is a national, multi-site business with a strong reputation. They have a great run-rate of growth through M&A, expanding to over 70 sites across Australia.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to develop their career in a fast-paced role. Ideally, you will have Employment Hero and KeyPay system exposure, experience within a multi-entity organisation and strong technical skills.
The Challenge
As a Payroll Officer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- End-to-end payroll processing through Employment Hero
- Processing changes to salary, benefits, superannuation, or deductions as required
- Monitoring and ensuring that all payroll-related compliance requirements are met, including adherence to the Fair Work Act, Superannuation Guarantee (SG), and other applicable laws
- Preparing payroll-related declarations and returns, including monthly payroll tax
- Administrator employee benefits, including superannuation, salary sacrifice arrangements, and other voluntary deductions
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues related to Employment Hero’s payroll platform
- Ensure compliance with state, and federal tax laws and regulations, including tax PAYG reporting and remittance deadlines
- Oversee and facilitate payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, and adjustments to ensure records are up to date
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest if you possess the following:
- 3+ years of experience in an end-to-end payroll position ideally with Employment Hero
- Strong knowledge of payroll-related legislation, including tax withholding, superannuation, and compliance with employment laws
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
