Payroll Officer | Southwest Sydney | $95,000

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join an Australian owned, solutions provider for infrastructure, facilities and asset management. They are known widely for their positive impact across some of Australia’s most important industries. 

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their career in payroll. They are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented team member to support the processing of payroll. 

You’ll work closely with a supportive and collaborative team, and full training will be provided to help you succeed in the role. The team is looking for someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and happy to help out where needed. 

The Challenge
Reporting into the Payroll Manager, your key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Check, audit, and process payroll in line with legislation, awards and internal reporting requirements.
  • Calculate and process terminations, bonuses, superannuation and payroll tax.
  • Prepare payment summaries, standard reports (e.g., overtime, non-recoverable costs), and ad hoc financial reports.
  • Liaise with HR on hires, terminations, and remuneration.
  • Interpreting and applying awards and contracts.
  • Maintain staff records, coordinate workers’ compensation, and manage archiving and filing.

The Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of payroll systems and EBA interpretation 
  • The availability to work Monday to Wednesday is a must
  • Are a team player with an eagerness to develop your skillset and career
  • Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
