The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-time Payroll Specialist who is immediately available. We’re seeking an experienced payroll professional to lead a payroll remediation project for our client who are a purpose-driven NFP organisation.
You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance and system integrity, for a payroll size of 150 employees. This is a 3-month contract role and an immediate start is preferred.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Finance Manager your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Leading end-to-end delivery of a payroll remediation project, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Conducting detailed analysis of historical payroll data to identify underpayments, overpayments, and system issues
- Observing BAU activities and training team members
- Leading or supporting the configuration of the ELMO payroll system to align with relevant awards and enterprise agreements
- Collaborating with Finance and key internal stakeholders
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Proven experience working on payroll remediation projects or payroll audits for 150+ employees
- Hands-on experience with ELMO/Employment Hero Payroll configuration
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including Fair Work compliance, Modern Awards, and enterprise agreements
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret payroll data to identify and rectify discrepancies
- Experience designing and implementing controls and process improvements within payroll systems
- Strong stakeholder engagement and excellent communication skills
- Excellent documentation skills for process mapping, configuration guides, and user training materials to support BAU staff
