The Opportunity
This newly created role offers the opportunity to shape and lead the customer rebates, supplier rebates and warranty claims functions within a leading multinational organisation.
Reporting to the Group Shared Services Manager, you will lead a team of analysts and offshore support, with the autonomy to strengthen controls, improve revenue recovery and drive meaningful process and systems improvements.
Working closely with leaders across Finance, Merchandise, Procurement, Sales and Operations, you will have broad exposure and the opportunity to make a visible impact across the organisation.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Group Shared Services Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing the Customer Rebates, Supplier Rebates and Warranty Claims teams
- Overseeing customer rebate payments, supplier rebate recovery and warranty claims from calculation through to reconciliation and resolution
- Interpreting commercial agreements and ensuring rebates and claims are accurately processed in line with contractual requirements
- Identifying missed income, aged claims, financial leakage and other areas of risk
- Partnering with Finance, Merchandise, Procurement, Sales, Operations and suppliers to resolve disputes and improve commercial outcomes
- Strengthening controls, reporting and audit trails while driving improvements across systems, processes and automation
The Expertise
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience across rebates, claims, commercial finance or a similar operational finance function within a complex organisation
- Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience
- Experience interpreting contracts, investigating variances and identifying revenue leakage
- A track record of improving finance processes, systems, reporting or automation
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline
- Advanced Excel skills, with ERP or business intelligence systems experience advantageous
