The Opportunity

This is a strong opportunity for a chartered accountant to join a multi billion dollar business on a contract until the end of the year, supporting the business through a period of growth and transformation. Reporting into the CFO, you will play a key role in stabilising and strengthening core financial processes

The company has grown organically and via acquisition, and are therefore seeking a change-agent who can work within a high performing team and improvement in systems.

The Challenge

Key responsibilities will include:

• A key focus of this role will be to identify and resolve discrepancies, improve reconciliations, and ensure accounting treatments are robust and aligned with best practice.
• You will also play a critical role in preparing the business for a successful audit, ensuring all supporting documentation, processes, and controls are in place. This will require a hands-on approach, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work through complex issues in a methodical and efficient manner.
• Overseeing technical accounting advice provided across the Group including assessing and documenting the accounting treatment for technical accounting issues and material transactions across the Group.
• Identifying opportunities to automate financial control & accounting processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Ideally, you are audit trained from a reputable firm. You may have made your first move into industry or this will be your first role. 
• CA or CPA qualified with strong experience in hands on financial reporting and financial control roles.
• Comfortable working at detail level while driving improvements in process and structure.
• Able to communicate clearly with stakeholders and present financial information in a concise way.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a track record of streamlining finance operations
