The Opportunity
Our client is a growing and profitable manufacturer with operations nationally. They have a strong reputation, and are at the forefront of their industry. Due to recent growth and record profits, they are looking for an ambitious and personable Senior Accountant to join the team.
This is a group level Financial Accountant role, assisting with the timely close of the month end close, quarterly and annual audits, as well as getting involved with ad hoc projects that come up in the team. The successful candidate may have started their career in industry or professional services, and will have at least commenced, if not completed, their CA/CPA studies.
The Challenge
- Co-ordination of the completion of month end in a timely and accurate manner
- Assist with quarterly and year-end audit and reporting
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and journal entries are in accordance with the Group policy
- Assist with the monthly/annual/periodic reporting requirements, for instance budgeting and forecasting
- Support and engage with the business units commercial/operations teams
- Supporting the resolution of issues with business process knowledge and identifying process improvements
- Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and tasks
The Expertise

- You have completed or are studying towards completing your CA/CPA at a reputable Audit firm or while working in a similar role in an industry role
- Demonstrate an understanding of financial accounting principles and analysis tools
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication with various stakeholders and strong interpersonal skills
