The Opportunity

Our client is a dynamic, progressive, and growing construction business with revenues approaching $1bn. They are seeking to appoint a Senior Accounts Lead in a newly created role. Reporting directly to the Shared Services Manager, this is a newly created 2IC role with oversight across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. It represents an outstanding opportunity to step into leadership while supporting the delivery of critical finance operations for the Group.

The Challenge

Leading a team of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Officers, your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Oversight of invoice processing, payment runs and compliance with supplier/subcontractor terms (approx. 100 invoices/day)
  • Supporting and mentoring AP & AR Officers, building team capability and resilience
  • Ensuring subcontractor claims are accurately processed and certified in Jobpac
  • Monitoring overdue debtors and supporting credit control processes
  • Building strong relationships with internal project administrators, managers, and external suppliers
  • Driving process improvements and contributing to system and efficiency enhancements
  • Acting as escalation point for supplier and client queries, ensuring timely and professional resolution


The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following.

  • Demonstrated experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable within a complex, multi-entity environment
  • Construction industry background with knowledge of subcontractor claims, retentions, and contractual requirements.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring finance officer.
  • Proficiency in Jobpac (or similar ERP systems) highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to influence stakeholders
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a mindset of continuous improvement
