The Opportunity
Our client is a leading Fortune 500 with a growing Asia Pacific footprint. You will be partnering with commercial stakeholders to make decisions and drive performance of the segment you will look after.
The Senior Commercial Analyst is a key role within the commercial team and drives commercial analysis and recommendations, interpreting financial data and providing quantitative reports for the operations team contributing to key commercial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have worked in a product-based environment and has partnered with GMs of sales, marketing, and merchandise business units. This is a true 2IC position to the GM – Commercial of the segment, with strong career progression opportunities.
The Challenge
- Review pricing and product costs across a range of brands, providing actionable suggestions to GMs
- Write and present business cases, scenario modelling and trend analysis to senior stakeholders.
- Partner with stakeholders for the preparation of analysis and the development of financial forecasts
- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets for the business units
- Work collaboratively to formulate financial models feeding into the strategic growth initiatives
- Make business improvement recommendations
- Complete month-end reporting and provide meaningful insights into the financial performance
- Key interactions with Executive General Managers and their leadership teams across the business
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA/CPA qualified + bachelor’s degree in business/commerce with a major in accounting/ finance
- 5-9 years’ experience in a large corporate environment
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Prior experience in a product-based environment such as manufacturing/retail/wholesale etc
- Understand key drivers of pricing, sales, and margins
- High level of initiative, a forward-thinking attitude and
- Motivation to develop your skillset by partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders in-person
