The Opportunity

Our client is a large, highly regarded Australian organisation currently undertaking a significant period of growth and change. This is a senior, fairly autonomous Finance Partnering role, where you’ll take ownership across budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, financial modelling and governance, supporting key Exec level stakeholders to deliver a large IT project on time and on budget.

The Challenge

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced FP&A or project finance professional with strong ELT level communications skills. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across a significant IT program
• Providing insightful reporting and analysis across actual, committed and forecast expenditure
• Identifying financial risks, emerging cost pressures and opportunities for optimisation
• Developing financial models and scenario analysis to assess changes in scope, timing and funding
• Reviewing business cases, procurement activities and expenditure proposals to ensure strong commercial outcomes
• Providing financial advice and constructive challenge to senior program and project stakeholders

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualification with significant experience across FP&A, project finance or commercial finance
• Experience working across major projects, transformation programs or other large, complex environments
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability
• Excellent commercial acumen with experience reviewing business cases, expenditure and investment decisions
• Experience across procurement, contracts or project financial management will be highly regarded
