The Opportunity

The business is an industry leader in the consumer products sector with a Queensland head office. With a strong reputation for being at the forefront of their industry, the finance team is looking for a strong technical accountant to join the Group function as they expand.

The Challenge

• Co-ordination of the completion of month end including reporting to Group accounting and reporting teams
• Co-ordination of the completion of monthly financial reconciliations including all balance sheet reconciliations together with necessary supporting documentation
• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and journal entries are in accordance with the Group policy
• Assist with the monthly/annual/periodic reporting requirements
• Manage lease contracts in line with IFRS 16 lease accounting standards
• Support and engage with the business units commercial/operations teams
• Supporting the resolution of issues with business process knowledge and identifying process improvements
• Assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and tasks

The Expertise 

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• You have recently completed your CA at a reputable Audit firm or have completed your CA /CPA in a large corporate
• Demonstrate an understanding of financial accounting principles and analysis tools
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication with various stakeholders and strong interpersonal skills
