The Opportunity

Our client is a highly regarded Melbourne-based company in the utilities sector. They are going through an exciting period of growth and innovation, making it an ideal time to join the business. As part of their ongoing investment in people, we are seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for a newly created role.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, your primary responsibility will be executing the risk-based audit plan. Other key responsibilities include:  

• Developing robust internal audit strategies and providing planning, execution, and reporting
• Leading and conducting internal audits
• Developing and implementing strategic risk-based audit plans, ensuring coverage of key business areas and identifying emerging risks
• Providing internal audit report and presentations to senior management
• Managing co-sourced audits with third-party service providers
• Using data analytics and analysis to identify trends and providing insights on how to improve
• Building strong relationships across with stakeholders across the business, and driving a culture of open communication and collaboration

The Expertise

Please consider applying for this position if you meet the following criteria: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Likely professional certifications such as IIA, CIA, CPA, CA
• Likely you have a background in professional services or a large corporate, and have had exposure to a wide range of audits which may include Financial, IT, Operational
• Great communcation skills are a must
