The Opportunity

The role is primarily responsible for managing the hedge accounting across the business. This includes managing the valuation process for derivative instruments, maintaining appropriate hedge accounting structures, and establishing new hedge relationships.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Treasury Accounting Manager, some key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing management and statutory reporting for hedge accounting and other treasury activities
• Providing insights and analysis of the impact of treasury accounting on the financial results
• Working on a key project to establish new hedge relationships
• In conjunction with Big4, working on a treasury designation project to simplify hedge accounting
• Acting as a SME on the TMS
• Management of bank guarantees and settlement processes
• Key contact for treasury-related audit queries

The Expertise

Please apply for this position if you meet the following criteria:

• Most likely you will be CA qualified, with experience working in Big4 treasury advisory or technical accounting advisory
• Alternatively, you have good treasury accounting experience gained within a large, complex company
• You’ll have a strong understanding of hedge accounting and hedge strategy
• Knowledge of AASB9 and AASB7 accounting requirements
• Ability to plan, organise and execute on activities within tight timeframes
• Good stakeholder management ability
• Helpful and positive attitude towards helping teammates and the broader business
