The Opportunity
This newly created leadership role offers the opportunity to take ownership of an important finance function within a leading multinational organisation.
Reporting to the Group Shared Services Manager and leading a team of seven, you will oversee a key area within finance operations. The role will focus on improving systems, strengthening processes and controls, and providing greater visibility across the function.
You will partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Merchandise, Procurement and Supply Chain, giving you broad exposure across the organisation and the opportunity to deliver meaningful financial and operational improvements.
This role would suit someone who enjoys combining team leadership with commercial problem-solving and wants the autonomy to influence how a function develops.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Group Shared Services Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the end-to-end supplier rebate process, including accrual setup, tracking, forecasting, reconciliation and collection
- Reviewing and maintaining supplier contracts, translating commercial terms into measurable rebate calculations and monitoring compliance
- Validating supplier rebate calculations against purchasing data and performance metrics
- Identifying missed income and financial leakage while improving rebate recovery across categories and suppliers
- Reporting on rebate performance, variances and financial risk exposure
- Partnering with Commercial Finance, Merchandise, Procurement, Supply Chain and suppliers to resolve discrepancies and disputes
- Leading the wider team while improving rebate management systems, controls, reporting and automation across the function
The Expertise
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- Minimum five years’ experience across rebates, financial accounting or transactional finance
- Experience managing complex supplier rebates and interpreting commercial agreements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related field
- CA/CPA qualification preferred
- Advanced Excel and strong analytical capability
- Demonstrated systems and process improvement experience
- Experience leading a finance team and managing stakeholders
