The Opportunity

Our client is scale-up tech company headquartered in the US, with a growing presence in Australia and New Zealand.

We’re seeking a Financial Accountant to join on an initial 4 month contract, to help with a month-end, financial reporting and additional project / process improvement work. Given the company is in a growth phase, there’s a good chance of extension post the initial contract period.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Head of Finance, key responsibilities will include:

• Month-end closing tasks such as posting journal entries and reconciling accounts
• Reviewing financial statements
• Assisting in preparing year-end financials (Australian standards).
• Support year-end audits, providing documentation and liaising with auditors
• P&L reporting and analysis
• Process improvement, identifying and implementing process improvements and creating process documentation

The Expertise

Please apply to the position if you meet the following required skills and qualifications:

• CA qualification
• 3+ years of experience, ideally with an Audit background followed by some time in industry
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused
• Flexible attitude and willingness to contribute to a fast paced environment
