The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Project Lead for an initial 6-month contract to support a complex, high-volume payroll environment whilst leading key payroll transformation initiatives.

This role has been created to provide additional support across both BAU payroll processing and project delivery, including key payroll system and compliance initiatives. The payroll function is multi-cycle (weekly, fortnightly and monthly) and supported by ADP and Humanforce within a largely manual processing environment.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Payroll Manager your key responsibilities will include the following:

• Lead and deliver payroll-related projects across BAU and transformation priorities
• Support and stabilise a payroll environment with multiple weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay cycles
• Drive the Payday Super project and support transition activities from Humanforce
• Improve payroll processes within an ADP managed services environment
• Support payroll compliance, controls and reporting 

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Proven experience in a Senior Payroll Officer or Payroll Lead role
• Strong experience in high-volume, multi-cycle payroll environments
• Exposure to ADP and/or Humanforce (or similar large-scale payroll systems)
• Experience operating in manual payroll environments
• Demonstrated ability to lead payroll projects and process improvement initiatives
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work independently
• Calm, detail-oriented approach with strong technical payroll knowledge
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
• Full Australian working rights
