The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, motivated individual; you may be in your final years of studying or a recent accounting or finance graduate looking for full-time opportunities in 2025. 

Our client is a successful global funds management firm based in Melbourne’s CBD. This is a newly created role due to internal promotion to support the financial accounting team with transactional volumes. You will be working alongside a collegiate team of predominantly Big4 trained chartered accountants. If you have the desire to pursue your CA/CPA qualifications in future excellent mentorship and study support is on offer. 

The Challenge

Reporting into the Financial Accountant, your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the accounts payable and accounts receivable function
• Banking and payment run processing
• Credit card processing and reconciliation 
• Assisting the financial accounting team with journal postings and month-end processes 
• Preparing BAS Statements 
• Assisting with monthly GL reconciliations

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a strong academic history 
• Ideally 1-2 years’ accounts related experience 
• Most likely you’ll have the desire to pursue CA/CPA in future 
• Good knowledge of excel and high attention to detail  
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels 
• Australian permanent resident or citizen
