The Opportunity

Our client, an ASX-listed FMCG firm headquartered in Melbourne, is on the lookout for a Management Accountant who thrives on making a difference. If you love turning numbers into actionable insights and influencing key decisions, this is your chance to shine.

In this role, you’ll be at the heart of financial performance; driving improvements through sharp reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. You’ll join a team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous growth, giving you the platform to elevate your career.

The role will commence as a 4-month contract with the potential for extension. They are looking for someone to start quickly – ideally immediately 

The Challenge

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Crafting monthly management accounts with clear analysis and commentary
• Partnering with stakeholders to interpret results and drive decisions
• Managing month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supporting forecasts and budgets with sharp variance analysis
• Maintaining robust internal controls and assisting audits
• Spotting opportunities to streamline processes and enhance reporting

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA qualification (ideally from PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, or a leading Tier 2 firm) and proven management accounting experience
• Strong financial reporting and management accounting knowledge
• Budgeting and forecasting expertise
• Prior exposure to JD Edwards will be looked upon favourably
• Industry experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or agriculture (highly regarded)
• A valid driver’s licence for occasional travel (preferred)
