The Opportunity

Our client is one of Australia’s most recognisable and engaging businesses within the sporting and entertainment industry. They pride themselves on creating an extremely fun, sociable office environment while also continuing to grow year on year.

An exciting vacancy has arisen for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join a well-respected and close-knit team on a 9-month fixed-term contract with a view to permanency. 

The Challenge

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the successful candidate responsibilities will include:

• Set up, amend and maintain supplier records accurately.
• Process a high volume of invoices.
• Matching of all invoices to the relevant purchase orders.
• Process agent and affiliate fees.
• Schedule supplier payments within credit terms: EFTs, TTs including foreign currency.
• Maintain the corporate card program.
• Deliver on month-end close requirements within required timelines.
• Month-end invoice and corporate card accruals.
• Liaising with the Financial Control team on a regular basis.
• Other ad hoc tasks as required.

The Expertise

Please consider applying for the role if you have the following:

• 3+ years of end-to-end Accounts Payable experience.
• Experience using ERP’s such as SAP, Oracle or SAGE.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and work autonomously
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in the sporting industry would be advantageous
