The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join a high growth, private equity backed Australian business. The company operates in a product led, distribution focused environment with a clear growth mandate and an active acquisition pipeline. Supported by experienced owners, a strong executive team, and clear strategic direction, this role offers broad influence, close CEO partnership, and exposure to board and PE stakeholders.

The Challenge
The Chief Financial Officer will report directly to the CEO and partner with an ambitious leadership team to drive scale, performance, and value creation.

• Deliver accurate, timely month end management accounts and P&L within tight close timelines.
• Produce monthly board packs with clear insight on trends, risks, and performance drivers.
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long term financial planning with disciplined variance control.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury, and working capital with rigorous weekly forecasting.
• Provide commercial insight across pricing, margins, category economics, and revenue levers.
• Drive EBITDA improvement through structured analysis, cost control, and margin initiatives.
• Build performance frameworks that improve decision making across product, pricing, and operations.
• Oversee core finance operations including AP, AR, payroll, tax, audit, and compliance.
• Maintain strong financial controls that support scale and reporting accuracy.
• Upgrade finance systems, ERP, and reporting tools to improve speed, automation, and data integrity.
• Support M&A activity including evaluation, execution, and post acquisition integration.
• Build and lead a high performing finance team with clear KPIs and accountability.

The Expertise
This role is designed for a proven finance leader operating in PE backed or high growth environments. To succeed, you will bring:

• CFO or senior finance leadership experience within a PE backed or scaling business.
• Demonstrated M&A execution and integration experience.
• Deep capability across reporting, FP&A, cash flow, controls, and commercial finance.
• Experience in product, wholesale, distribution, or inventory led operating models.
• Strong commercial judgement with confidence challenging and influencing at executive level.
• A disciplined, hands on leadership style with a track record of building capable teams.
