The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join the Head Office of a leading global retail brand on a permanent, full-time basis.

Working as part of a dedicated payroll team, you will support the accurate and compliant delivery of payroll for a large, high-volume workforce. This role is well suited to someone looking to further develop their payroll career within a structured, fast-paced retail environment with exposure to SAP and retail awards.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Responding promptly and professionally to employee payroll queries
• Assisting with fortnightly end-to-end payroll processing (including time & attendance checks through to payroll calculations)
• Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including new starters, terminations, and contract changes
• Conducting regular and ad-hoc payroll audits and preparing summary reports
• Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting (including payroll tax and superannuation)
• Ensuring compliance with the General Retail Industry Award and Australian tax and superannuation legislation
• Producing payroll reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
• Working closely with HR and broader internal teams

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a payroll role within a medium to large organisation
• Exposure to SAP and modern payroll systems
• Understanding of awards (retail award experience highly regarded)
• Moderate/Strong Excel skills are key 
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
