The Opportunity

An established ASX-listed organisation is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join their high-performing finance team. Operating within a large and growing FMCG business, this role partners closely with commercial and operational leaders to drive decision-making and performance.
  
With exposure across sales reporting, forecasting, pricing and contract analysis, this position offers the chance to step into a broad and impactful role in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  
The Challenge

In your role as a Commercial Analyst, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the annual budget process and delivering monthly forecasts
• Preparing monthly P&L reports, tracking financial performance and analysing key drivers
• Providing sales reporting and performance analysis across national and state levels
• Partnering with commercial teams to support revenue tracking, contract negotiations and customer profitability
• Conducting capital expenditure analysis and ensuring compliance with financial policies
• Supporting business case development and reporting on key commercial initiatives
• Developing and maintaining reporting tools across BI platforms

  
The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or related field, with CA/CPA completed or in progress
• Experience working within a high performing finance team in a large organisation with a complex matrix structure
• A strong understanding of financial performance drivers, ideally within FMCG, wholesale, retail or healthcare sectors
• Strong financial modelling and Excel skills, with the ability to analyse large data sets
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in presenting insights to stakeholders
• A proactive, commercially-minded approach with a strong attention to detail
• Experience with TM1, SAP or similar systems will be highly regarded
