The Opportunity

The Challenge

Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets
• Play an integral role with internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to audit inquiries
• Support the finance team in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate financial data and analysis
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy 
• Assist with technical accounting matters specifically around the audit process
• Assist in year-end tax calculations and liaise with external auditors
• Identify opportunities for streamlining accounting processes and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy

The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

• CA qualified 
• 3+ years of experience ideally within Audit, or in a comparable industry Accountant role
• It is preferable that you have prior experience, knowledge, or interest  in Retail or FMCG 
• You will have a strong interpersonal skill-set and able to meet tight deadlines, working in a fast paced environment
