The Opportunity
Join a well established investment firm as the Company Accountant. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth financial processes, strong internal controls, and timely reporting across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a professional environment.
The Challenge
Reporting into the Finance Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Processing and reconciling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and intercompany transactions
- Scheduling and processing fortnightly payments and remittances
- Monitoring and managing bank balances and preparing reconciliations across multiple entities
- Processing and reconciling credit card statements on a monthly basis
- Performing trial balance reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register and processing monthly depreciation entries
- Assisting with the preparation of periodic management reports and year-end work papers
- Managing the finance inbox and responding to internal and external queries promptly
- Maintaining filing systems and regularly archiving documents
- Providing general administrative and clerical support as required
- Undertaking ad hoc tasks to support the wider finance team
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest if you possess the following:
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping, accounts clerk, or similar accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly MYOB and the MS Office suite
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes
- Experience in an investment environment is highly desirable but not essential
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines
