The Opportunity
A great opportunity has become available for a Corporate Accountant to join a large privately owned land development and investment firm. Our client has established themselves as one of the largest, most successful diversified property groups in Australia. This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to develop their financial analysis and finance business partnering skills, equally with a large finance team they are able to provide excellent career development opportunities.
The Challenge
This role requires a self-driven and curious accountant who will support the Finance Manager and Financial Director to prepare and deliver on monthly financial results in an accurate and timely manner through the provision of financial reports and analysis across the group including JV’s and private entities. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Month end reporting, including management reports, budgeting and quarterly forecasts
- Month-end and financial reporting tasks
- Ability to communicate financial data and information to internal and external stakeholders
- Continually developing and initiating process improvements across the finance function
- Support in setting up and maintaining entities
- Ad hoc project work as required by the business and finance team
The Expertise
This position will suit an Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting principles and leadership qualities. Furthermore, please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- You are CA/CPA qualified
- 3 -5 years’ experience spent in a chartered or business services environment is highly desirable
- A sound knowledge of accounting concepts, financial reporting, and management reporting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong attention to detail
- A demonstrated ability to build and maintain rapport with employees, stakeholders and business partners
