The Opportunity

This hybrid ESG and financial reporting role is an excellent opportunity to join a well-respected and highly successful FMCG group with significant global operations. As the business is complex and growing, you will have the opportunity to be involved in exciting projects, development of new processes and contribute to team efficiencies.

The role will partner closely with key stakeholders in the finance team, particularly within the Group division, as well as the business operations team. You will have the capacity to be involved in value-adding decisions and positively impact the business.

The Challenge

Sitting at Group function with a focus on ESG reporting, you will report into the Group Financial Controller and some of your responsibilities will include: 

• Assessment of sustainability related financial disclosure requirements. 
• Preparation and management of the internal and external environmental performance reports, for example carbon footprint, recycling performance etc. 
• Business partnering with the wider finance team to assess risk management priorities and the regulatory environment.
• Contribute to the month-end consolidation process for the Group, ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met.
• Prepare annual financial statements for legal entities which cross multiple business units.

The Expertise

Please express interest in this position if you have the following:

• CA/CPA qualification with experience working in a Chartered firm (Big4 or top-tier)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS / AASB standards
• Highly collaborative, personable style
• Ability to manage a diverse set of responsibilities, within a highly collaborative team environment
• It is likely that you have a personal interest in environmental / sustainability reporting and eager to apply your accounting knowledge to drive improvements in environmental performance
