The Opportunity
A portfolio company of some of one of the leading PE firms in the country, this high-growth technology company is well funded with a clear mandate for rapid future growth. 

This Payroll Manager will manage the payroll function and oversee the pay run process, legislation, payroll compliance, system upgrades, and much more.

The Challenge
Reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Oversee end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely payments
• Audit and verify payroll calculations, data, and reports
• Manage 2 direct payroll team members, promoting a culture of accuracy, collaboration, and accountability 
• Oversee the maintenance and updates of payroll software systems, ensuring data integrity 
• Partner with IT and third-party vendors to implement system improvements and troubleshoot issues 
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll activities and enhance efficiency 
• Develop strong controls to mitigate risks in payroll operations 
• Keep abreast of legislative changes in payroll, taxation, and industrial awards to ensure ongoing compliance 

The Expertise
To be successful in this role, it is expected that you possess the following:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar senior payroll position 
• Strong leadership skillset with a proven ability to effectively manage a small team 
• Experience with large scale payroll software/systems – ideally with MicrOpay 
• A strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements
