The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a capable Financial Accountant to join a growing Family Office investing across a diverse portfolio of property, operating businesses (ASX-listed and private) and international assets. This role is ideal for someone currently working within a mid to top-tier public practice firm who is looking to move into industry while continuing to work with complex financial and tax matters.
You will take ownership of day-to-day financial and tax compliance across the group, working closely with the Director, the external accounting firm’s Partner, the Bookkeeper and investment professionals. It is a hands-on accounting role within a high performing, commercially driven Family Office that will help fast track your development and provide direct visibility into how strong decisions drive results.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Director your key responsibilities will include the following:

• Monthly reconciliations and financial management for multiple entities
• Managing inter-entity transactions, Division 7A loans and Unpaid Trust Entitlements
• Preparing management accounts and supporting month-end reporting
• Overseeing BAS, payroll tax and other statutory lodgements
• Maintaining accurate general ledger data across the group
• Assisting with group structure documentation and entity administration
• Supporting cash flow tracking and basic treasury activities
• Liaising with external accountants, advisers and internal stakeholders

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA (or near completion)
• 3-5 years’ experience, ideally from Business Services, Tax or Private Clients
• Exposure to HNW or family groups, trusts, companies and Division 7A
• Strong technical accounting and tax foundations
• Experience with Xero skills and strong Excel skills
• A practical, reliable and detail-focused approach
• Confidence working independently, while valuing senior support and guidance
