The Opportunity

A large, well-established global organisation based in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join its finance team on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a broad commercial finance role supporting corporate functions across the business. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing financial insights, budgeting & forecasting, management reporting and commercial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

The Challenge

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly management reporting, financial analysis and commentary
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across corporate functions
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to provide commercial insights and support decision-making
• Developing financial models and business cases to assess investment opportunities and projects
• Monitoring financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting cost optimisation initiatives
• Overseeing month-end financial results and ensuring accurate treatment of operating and capital expenditure
• Driving improvements in financial reporting, processes and controls

The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• CA, CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent qualification preferred
• At least 4 years’ experience across FP&A, Finance Business Partnering or Management Accounting
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, management reporting and financial modelling experience
• Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders across a large, complex organisation
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills and the ability to translate financial information into meaningful insights
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
