The Opportunity

Our client is a renowned and highly regarded property group that has several significant long-term development projects in their already impressive portfolio. they require an experience Finance Business Partner to support their Brisbane office. You will become part of a well established finance team led by a capable and supportive Financial Controller, all of whom are based interstate. Therefore, to thrive in this role, you’ll need to be comfortable working independently. Your ability to work autonomously while collaborating with operational team members such will be a key factor in your success.

The Challenge

As part of this role you will be required to provide accurate and insightful financial reporting and analysis which will enable the business to make strategic operational decisions.  Your main responsibilities will include:

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly management reports for projects
• Prepare budget and 5-year forecasting of cash flow, profit and balance sheet for the business unit
• Prepare whole of life project cash close, project returns, project variance reports and cost to the complete reports
• Monthly cash flow reporting
• Variance analysis against budget
• Review and/or prepare WIP reconciliation and recharge of costs
• Ad hoc project work and process improvement – system implementation, business partnering

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• At least 7 years’ experience in a commercial accounting position, with time spent in property/land development or project accounting ideal
• CPA or CA preferred
• High levels of initiative with a proactive, forward-thinking attitude
• Ability to develop strong working relationships with non-financial stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication are essential for collaborating with operational team members and ensuring alignment between finance and other departments
• This role has the potential to offer part time hours | 0.8 FTE
• This will dependent entirely on level of experience and suitability
