The Opportunity

An exceptional opportunity for a CA or CPA qualified finance professional to take ownership of the finance function for a long standing Australian-owned marketing business presence across Melbourne and regional Victoria. Our client has a proud local heritage and a commitment to sustainability, innovation, and community engagement.

The Challenge

In this Finance Manager role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Preparation of monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss, internal management reports and cashflow statements
• Preparing budget/expense reports
• Updating and maintaining financial information in Xero, company specific financial performance software, and PowerBI
• Manage the budgeting, forecasting and cost reduction opportunities
• Month end reporting including journals, accruals, prepayments and intercompany transactions
• Lodge BAS, PAYG and other similar tax obligations
• Managing three staff

The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification and ideally trained in a chartered firm working with private / SME clients. You will have made a 1st or 2nd move in industry and have leadership experience. 
• An ability and attitude to work in a hands on capacity
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax compliance, and financial regulations.
• Proven experience in managing finance teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
