The Opportunity
This is a very exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the leadership team of this exciting and innovative, high growth Australian owned business. Enjoying continued and growing success through their industry leading products and services, the Finance Manager role is newly created to provide commercial support and team leadership to the CFO.
You will report directly to a highly reputable and experienced CFO and work with a collegiate team towards a common goal. In addition, you will work towards developing a finance team that will be highly visible and seen as a true business partner to the organisation.
You will be given a lot of autonomy and responsibility with a clear mandate to exercise your initiative and process improvement initiatives.
The Challenge
The Finance Manager is the 2IC to the CFO and has the mandate to support them in key commercial and analytical duties as well as manage the day to day finance function including the development of a small but growing finance team. Other key responsibilities include:
- Delivering accurate and value-add financial and management reporting
- Driving commercial outcomes through meaningful trend analysis and performance analytics
- Periodic budgeting and forecasting with the support of the wider finance team
- Supporting the ELT with the provision of financial, strategic, and key decision leadership and advice
- Developing, improving and implementing accounting and financial management systems, policies, and procedures consistent with strategic and operational plans
- Driving process improvements and building a culture of continuous improvement
- Manage a small but growing finance function
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- You are CPA or CA qualified;
- You have been trained within audit in a leading accounting firm;
- Ambitions in developing, leading and motivating people and you may have indirectly managed staff;
- Demonstrated commercial and analytical mindset, strong communication ability and problem solving skills;
- You are excited by small but fast growing environments working towards a common goal together;
- Fluency in Mandarin speaking skills is desired as from time to time, you will be partnering with stakeholders abroad in Asia
