The Opportunity
A global ASX industry leader with strong growth forecasts, our client is seeking a Finance Manager Operations to act as the key finance partner to the regional operations team. This is a pivotal role within the finance team, providing financial leadership across the company’s extensive horticultural operations and playing a key role in the delivery of strategic growth and operational performance.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Manager Operations will be responsible for providing commercial support to the horticultural division whilst ensuring accurate, timely and insightful reporting, budgeting and forecasting across the operations and division. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering monthly management reporting and analysis
- Leading the preparation of forecasts and annual budgets with detailed commentary and variance analysis
- Partnering with regional and operational managers to drive operational and financial performance
- Partner with the c-suite to actively identifying performance and commercial improvement initiatives
- Providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making across manufacturing operations
- Enhancing financial controls, compliance and governance frameworks across operational sites and processes
- Supporting audit processes, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Driving improvements in reporting, forecasting and budgeting methodologies
This role requires a hands-on finance leader who can provide both strategic insight and operational detail to support business growth.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CPA/CA Qualification with demonstrated experience within a agricultural/manufacturing or possibly FMCG environment
- Previous experience business partnering operations teams
- Transformational zeal and a flair for process improvement
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and corporate finance
- Superior commercial acumen and business partnering skills
- You are a hands on commercial leader with the ability to be ‘in the detail’
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to build rapport with all levels of stakeholders
- An ability to travel to regional sites 3 to 4 days per month
