The Opportunity
  
This is an excellent opportunity to join a privately owned business with a substantial national portfolio spanning across various commercial assets and property.
  
This is a hands-on transactional finance role supporting a close-knit, experienced team. Working closely with the Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day finance administration while gaining broad exposure across the finance function. The wider team is well-tenured and the environment is stable and supportive.   
  
The Challenge
   
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support payroll administration and general finance support tasks
• Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding invoices, payments and finance queries
• Assist with ad hoc finance administration and process improvement initiatives

   
The Expertise
   
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
  

• Previous experience in a Finance/Accounts Officer or Bookkeeper-style role
• Broad transactional finance experience across reconciliations, invoicing and general finance support is advantageous
• Understanding of GST, tax invoices, payroll administration and general accounting processes
