The Opportunity

Our client is a leading player in the Australian property sector, specialising in development and investment. An opportunity has become available to join the business as a Financial Accountant, working across a broad scope of responsibilities. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, asset management, and key finance processes, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CA qualified accountant looking to expand their technical expertise in a highly regarded and growing industry sector.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and reviewing month-end journals, ensuring accurate financial records across a portfolio of property assets.
• Assisting with management reporting, variance analysis and forecasting.
• Supporting budgeting and project feasibility reporting with key stakeholders.
• Communicating financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Preparing year-end accounts, reconciliations and supporting workpapers.
• Assisting with process and system improvements alongside the wider finance team.
• Performing ad hoc financial tasks as required.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• 4+ Years’ experience in business services within a Big Four or mid-tier firm. Experience with property clients would be well regarded.
• CA/CPA qualification required.
• Strong initiative and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, inquisitive, and eager to make a meaningful impact.
