The Opportunity
Our client is a leading player in the Australian property sector, specialising in development and investment. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team in this newly created role. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, asset management, and key finance processes, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a CA qualified accountant looking to expand their technical expertise and industry knowledge in a highly regarded and growing sector.

The Challenge
Reporting to the Finance Manager this position is a great platform for a motivated finance professional to grow your skills and experience.

Specifically your responsibilities will include: 

• Prepare and review month-end journals, ensuring accurate financial records.
• Assist with management reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting.
• Support budgeting and cost tracking with key stakeholders.
• Prepare year-end accounts, reconciliations, and workpapers.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist with process improvements and system upgrades.
• Support transaction reconciliations and funding drawdowns.
• Maintain lease incentive schedules and reporting.
• Perform ad hoc financial tasks as needed.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• 4+ years of experience in audit or business services within a Big 4 or mid-tier firm, or at least 3 years in a similar industry role within a mid-sized business.
• CA/CPA qualification required.
• Strong initiative and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, inquisitive, and eager to make a meaningful impact.
