The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to step into a Financial Controller position where you’ll play a pivotal role as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team. Your impact will be tangible, driving commercial outcomes, influencing strategy, and shaping performance with clear headroom to further develop into a broader leadership role over time.

The Challenge

As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in providing financial clarity, shaping their financial strategy and ensuring operational excellence. Your responsibilities will involve but not be limited to:

Act as a trusted financial and commercial advisor to the CEO and wider leadership team, translating strategy into plans, budgets, and KPIs.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, and overall financial strategy.
Analyse financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide recommendations to leadership.
Ensure compliance with accounting, taxation, and statutory obligations, including cash flow oversight.
Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial processes.
Partner with stakeholders to support budgeting, cost control, and business decision-making.
Monitor departmental spend, minimise financial waste, and improve communication between Finance and the wider business.
Oversee ERP, Payroll, and HR systems, supporting reporting, data analysis, and IT initiatives.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

You are a qualified CA or CPA with approx. 10 years of professional working experience
You are excited by fast growing and progressive environments
Experience in hands-on, senior finance roles will be looked upon favourably
Retail experience is highly desirable and considered essential
Demonstrated communication skills and ability to suit a close-knit stable team environment with a warm, open and engaging style with the ability to build trust and influence key stakeholders
