The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, up and coming Accountant wanting to expand their skills and gain exposure in a hybrid financial reporting and tax focused role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful ASX organisation in the CBD.

The Challenge

Supporting the Group Finance function, you will work closely with the Senior Financial Accountant as well as the Finance Manager and Tax Manager. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• General ledger accounting, including posting of journals 
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and assessment of risk on balance sheet items 
• Assisting with the preparation on financial reports 
• Preparation and lodgement of monthly BAS, FBT and PAYG
• Assisting with with the preparation of income tax returns 
• Supporting process improvement initiatives 
• Supporting the Finance Manager and Tax Manager with ad hoc analysis 

The Expertise

Please apply for the position if you have the following:  

• You may be recently qualified or working toward your CA/CPA qualification
• At least 2-3 years’ experience working in an accounting focused role
• Good foundational understanding of financial accounting processes
• Attention to detail and ability to focus on quality work
• Curious attitude and commitment to learning
