The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an FP&A Manager to join a well established, private equity owned business operating within a critical infrastructure and logistics environment.
This role sits at the centre of the finance function and plays a key role in supporting strategic decision making, performance management and long range planning across the business. It is well suited to an experienced FP&A professional who enjoys combining analysis with influence and partnering closely with senior stakeholders.
You will lead budgeting, forecasting and planning activities, deliver high quality performance reporting, and provide meaningful insights that support both operational and strategic outcomes across the organisation.
The Challenge
In this role, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and long range financial plans
- Delivering financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and operational decision making
- Preparing and contributing to monthly board and executive reporting, combining quantitative analysis with clear commercial commentary
- Preparing and presenting monthly performance reports, highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities
- Owning and enhancing financial models for scenario planning, investment analysis and business cases
- Partnering with commercial and operational teams to understand key drivers and identify cost saving or revenue enhancing opportunities
- Supporting month end close through variance analysis and performance commentary
- Driving improvements in reporting tools, dashboards and financial systems
- Leading or contributing to cross functional projects, providing financial leadership and guidance
The Expertise
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Degree qualifications in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualification preferred
- 7 or more years’ experience in financial analysis, planning, or business partnering roles, including time spent in a management capacity
- Proven experience contributing meaningful insight through executive and board level reporting
- Strong financial modelling, analytical and problem solving capability
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP and BI systems
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- A proactive, hands on approach with the ability to work independently and influence across the business
- Experience within logistics, transport, supply chain, distribution or private equity backed environments will be highly regarded
- Permanent Residency or Citizenship is required for this role
