The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity to join an ASX listed manufacturer, who continue to expand through acquisition and innovation. Reporting to the Group Commercial Finance Manager, this newly created position will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s ongoing growth and commercial success.
With a broad remit, the role offers scope to partner with senior stakeholders, provide key financial insights and contribute to strategic decision-making across a key business unit of the organisation.
The Challenge
As a Group Management Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of group financial results, ensuring accuracy and insight in monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes across multiple business units to support performance tracking and decision-making.
- Partnering closely with senior executives including CFO and divisional COO, preparing financial and management reports including delivery of monthly presentations
- Overseeing group level balance sheet management, including fixed assets, leases and capital expenditure reporting.
- Providing end-to-end financial support to a key operating division, ensuring robust reporting and accountability.
- Driving ongoing improvement in financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
The Expertise
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:
- CA/CPA qualification with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a senior accounting capacity, ideally with exposure to group reporting or a Big 4 audit background, now seeking to apply your expertise in an industry setting.
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and analytical skills, preferably gained within manufacturing, FMCG, agriculture or related industries.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- An ambitious and highly motivated self-starter with a commercial mindset.
- A proactive and hands-on approach, with a drive to improve systems and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for this role.
