The Opportunity
 
Our client is a profitable, complex and multinational business with a head office in Melbourne. Due to some internal progression they are looking to hire a  Finance Governance Analyst at the group level, assisting with the delivery of audits, governance and compliance. 
 
Focused on best practice, this position will assist the accurate and timely managing the financial reporting function in the group accounting team. You will play a key role working closely with the Financial Controller. The company prides themselves on internal progression, so this is a great place to grow your career long term. 

The Challenge

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Assessing the adequacy of systems to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and accounting standards that may impact financial statements.
• Coordinating the external audit process. 
• Coordinating the Financial Governance processes.
• Assisting the Technical Accounting team as required.
• Assisting with other ad-hoc finance projects as required. This might include M&A and Group Finance teams. 

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Ideally you will be fully qualified with 3-4 years experience in an internal or external Audit team at a Big 4 or Mid Tier firm.
• Alternatively, you may be already working in an industry internal audit role at a large, complex business looking for a logical next step.
• You will be a strong communicator and have proven experience leading high performing teams.
• You will be driven to progress your career in a growing corporate.
