The Opportunity

This is a wonderful opportunity for an ambitious finance executive to join an industry leading organisation embarking on an accelerated growth trajectory. The executive leadership team and board are passionate and ambitious about the organisation’s potential to significantly grow in the coming years. 

The Challenge

Working with the Chief Executive and board, the Head of Finance will be a key contributor to strategic planning, via identifying, assessing and prioritising the growth projects and initiatives. A broad Head of Finance position, your key responsibilities will include:

•  Overseeing the end to end finance function including managing the financial business performance, Audit & Risk Management, banking relationships and providing commercial value add to support the business performance and growth
• Enhancing the capability of the finance function including establishing robust governance and controls for the business and being the ‘go-to’ support for commercial matters
• Optimise company performance, unleash the business for growth and deliver on the five year strategic plan
• Manage the monthly financial reporting & statutory reporting obligations whilst maintaining and establishing appropriate controls and risk management safeguards
• Ensure accounting excellence across the business. Lead the continuous improvement of the company’s processes and governance including the establishment of reporting processes, monthly cadence and board materials
• Oversee the delivery and implementation of a new ERP
• Strengthen management reporting and analysis to enable greater insights and enhanced business decision support services
• Business case preparation and presentation of strategic proposals to board
• Enhance finance planning & budgeting processes to support future growth
• Identifying opportunities to drive sales over and above plans through customer segmentation and margin analysis
• Provide ongoing business partnership with sales, supply chain and operations to support key activities 

The Expertise

To be considered for this opportunity it is likely you will possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualified, ideally you commenced your career in audit at EY, KPMG, Deloitte or PwC
• Distinguished finance leader with more than 4 years in a relevant senior financial leadership position
• Stakeholder management experience capable of presenting at the Executive and Board level
• Superior financial leadership experience across financial reporting, commercial and FP&A
• Proven experience in a dynamic, high growth transformational environment
• Strong commercial nous, exceptional pedigree business partnering sales and marketing functions/supply chain/operations teams or similar
• Ability to be hands-on with proven experience driving financial performance across a team-orientated environment
• Strong operational prowess. Experience driving cost improvement initiatives and efficiencies improvement
• A proven background in a company undertaking accelerated growth
• Experience within a private equity owned portfolio company will be looked upon favourably
• High achievement drive with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
