The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic, fast growing for-purpose organisation. They are one of the largest players in their space and generate their own income, so are interested in employing talented people with a background medium to large commercial businesses. Due to growth in recent years, they are amidst a transformation journey with an ERP upgrade and changes to their operating model in flight.

Reporting to the CFO, this is a key leadership role and will manage all FP&A, Business Partnering, commercial and strategic finance while leading a high performing team.

The Challenge

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll play a key role in shaping long-term growth & sustainability by supporting executives and the Board with clear, forward looking financial insight. Key responsibilities will include:

Lead Group-wide commercial finance, strategic insight, and long-term financial planning, acting as a trusted partner to the CFO, CEO, Executive, and Board
Own the financial planning framework, including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, the 10-year Long Term Plan, and consolidated long-term models extending 35+ years
Translate complex financial modelling into clear, practical insights that inform strategy, investment decisions, and long-term sustainability
Lead strategic modelling to support development activity, SPVs, capital allocation, funding decisions, and scenario and sensitivity analysis
Drive funding optimisation reviews, assessing funding mix, cost of capital, covenant efficiency, and long-term resilience, and prepare annual funding and budget papers for governance forums
Partner with executives on major developments, investments, and transformations, leading financial evaluation and benefit realisation frameworks
Act as the central coordination point for Group, Board, and regulatory financial reporting, ensuring alignment to strategy and a clear, compelling financial narrative
Champion data, analytics, and innovation, lifting commercial capability across the organisation through forward-looking insight, BI tools, and predictive analysis

The Expertise

Please apply for this position if you possess the following:

CA/CPA/CFA qualifications
5+ years experience in a senior role in FP&A, strategic or commercial finance
Proven experience partnering Board and Exec level stakeholders
Demonstrated capability as a people leader, comfortable leading a large team circa 5-10
Experience in change management
An interest in joining a purpose-driven yet commercial environment
