The Opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned commercial finance leader to step into a critical role within a purpose-driven and growing financial institution. As Head of FP&A, you’ll join the Finance leadership team and be instrumental in aligning financial strategy with business goals. You’ll lead a high-performing FP&A team and act as a trusted advisor to the Executive and Board.
This pivotal role provides the chance to build and elevate the finance partnering function, drive commercial excellence, and contribute to strategic initiatives including due diligence, project and contract finance, and enterprise-wide planning.
This is a newly created position and will be initially offered as a contract through to end of January 2026, with a view to become permanent thereafter.
The Challenge
Reporting to the CFO, key responsibilities include:
- Leading the development and execution of commercial planning and performance strategy
- Delivering high-quality board-level financial support and insights
- Building and maturing the finance business partnering function across the Bank
- Leading due diligence for strategic ventures, partnerships, and acquisitions
- Overseeing corporate planning, budgeting, forecasting and financial governance
- Driving commercial rigour in project and contract finance
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Executives, Data, Product, and Transformation teams
- Coaching and mentoring a small but high-performing finance team
- Uplifting financial acumen across the organisation
The Expertise
- 10+ years’ experience in finance, including leadership roles in FP&A or commercial finance
- CA/CPA qualifications (or equivalent)
- Proven experience delivering board-level financial reporting and insights
- Strong track record in commercial planning, budgeting, and due diligence
- Commercial acumen, strategic mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
- Experience in financial services (banking) is essential
