The Opportunity
This opportunity is with a growing, innovative and dynamic business that sit in the infrastructure industry. With a focus on delivering practical, sustainable solutions, the business plays a key role in supporting essential projects across a range of industries. The organisation is in a growth phase, offering meaningful work in a values-led environment.
Due to ongoing positive business performance, this is a newly created position. As the Management Accountant, you will support accurate financial reporting, ensure compliance with regulatory obligations, assist in budgeting and performance tracking, and contribute to a high-performing finance team.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will be split across financial accounting and management reporting. An overview is included below:
- Prepare monthly financial reports, Board Reports, and KPI dashboards on time.
- Maintain integrity of accounting systems and perform month-end reconciliations.
- Manage fixed asset register, finance lease schedule, and payroll reconciliations.
- Assist in annual budgeting, monthly variance analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
- Oversee BAS, FBT, and payroll reconciliations.
- Support external audits, post adjustments, and statutory accounts preparation.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and recommend system/process improvements.
- Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
The Expertise

- You are CA / CPA qualified.
- Well-versed in Australian Accounting Standards.
- Experience working within a industry role where you have gained practical financial and management accounting experience.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines and work both autonomously and as a team.
