The Opportunity
Our client is a highly regarded Melbourne-based company in the utilities sector. They are going through an exciting period of growth and innovation, making it an ideal time to join the business. As part of their ongoing investment in people, we are seeking am Internal Audit Manager – Digital (IT) for a newly created role. It’s a great time to join as they are seeking to grow their internal audit function, so this is a role where you can really make your mark!
The Challenge
Reporting to the GM Internal Audit, your primary responsibility will be executing and overseeing the Strategic Internal Audit plan. Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing the IT audit strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and risk management objectives
- Developing a comprehensive 3-year Internal Audit plan that aligns with the organisation’s strategic objectives and risk management framework
- Leading IT audit engagements in Cybersecurity, Project Assurance, IT Application, General Controls and other audit engagements as required
- Preparing and presenting audit findings and recommendations to executive leadership and the audit committee
- Developing and maintaining an assurance map to identify high-risk audit areas and prioritising audit engagements based on risk assessment
- Managing 3rd party co-sourced audits; managing and mentoring the internal audit team
- Using data analytics in the audit process where appropriate.
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Likely professional such as CISA, CISSP or equivalent
- Likely you have a background in professional services or a large corporate, and have had exposure to a wide range of audits which includes Cyber Security, IT General Controls, large scale IT project audits
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation.
