The Opportunity
Our client is a well-established FMCG business with a reputable name in the sector, they are experiencing double digit growth year on year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Payroll Manager ready to step into a more senior role with a leader in the field. You’ll take charge of end-to-end payroll operations, overseeing processes from onboarding to terminations, managing month-end obligations, preparing reports, and overseeing a direct report.
Additionally, you’ll have the chance to contribute to several exciting projects within the first 12 months. Joining the business at this dynamic time provides an opportunity to leave your mark by establishing new processes and procedures. They offer genuine work life balance, finishing at 4:30pm every day, and earlier on Fridays.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the timely weekly/fortnightly/monthly payroll process for 400+ staff. Your duties will include the following:
- Management of team – support, training and development
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing
- Manage year-end processes including PAYG, Payroll Tax and Superannuation
- Lead a system transition including UAT, Process mapping and gap analysis
- Prepare detailed payroll records, reports and documents for Finance and Operations
- Provide insights to support budgeting & forecasting
- Act as a key point of contact for payroll queries and escalations
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- 8+ years end to end payroll experience
- Proven experience managing a small to medium sized payroll team
- Exposure managing payroll for hourly paid employees
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Micropay and/or SAP experience desired
- Advanced Excel skills essential
- Prior experience leading a system implementation will be highly regarded
