The Opportunity
Our client is a highly successful property group that prides itself on having an excellent internal culture and prides itself on employee development and progression.
The successful individual will be given high flexibility and autonomy and enjoy working with their tight-knit finance team, among other stakeholders. This is a job-share role with someone who is transitioning into retirement. Long-term employment may be offered to a candidate who can take ownership of this role and make it their own.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day payroll for all Australian sites.
Alongside managing the payroll, you will work with the business to calculate monthly bonus payments for all sales staff. This role will, therefore, have a slightly more operational focus and be very visible throughout the company.
Your duties will include the following:
- Preparing and processing fortnightly payroll for 200+ staff
- Entering new starters and leavers
- Maintaining leave records and adjustments
- Responding to payroll-related queries
- Superannuation, payroll tax, workover
- Month & year-end reporting
- Providing excellent customer service to site-based employees
- Supporting management with process improvement initiatives
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- At least 7+ years of payroll experience
- An environment with responsibility for more than 300+ employees
- High attention to detail and has excellent communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required, alongside working with a larger payroll software
