The Opportunity

The Senior Commercial Analyst – Merchandise is a key role within the commercial team and involves delivering commercial analysis and recommendations, interpreting financial data and providing quantitative reports for the operations team contributing to key commercial decision-making.
You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and high-performance division, being the largest of the group who are willing to provide the support and professional development and drive your career forward. You will be partnering with non-finance stakeholders to drive performance of the segment you will look after.
The Challenge
- Partner with stakeholders for the preparation of analysis and the development of financial forecasts
- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets for the business units
- Support the business with ad hoc financial and commercial analysis
- Work collaboratively to formulate financial models feeding into the strategic growth initiatives
- Make business improvement recommendations
- Complete month-end reporting and provide meaningful insights into the financial performance
- Key interactions with Executive General Managers and their leadership teams across the business
- Analysis of commercial reports across business units, including prospective new business
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or commerce with a major in accounting/ finance
- CA/CPA qualified
- 4-5 years experience in a large corporate environment
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Prior experience in a product based environment such as manufacturing/retail/wholesale
- High level of initiative, a forward-thinking attitude and motivated to develop your skillset by partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders in-person
